Here is another Snow Day layout. I received this layout in a swap, unfortunately it isn't signed so I don't know who to give credit to.
These pics are from a Snow Day the kids had off school in December 2008. It has my kids and my sister's kids having fun in the snow.

Wii Love Christmas
I received this beautiful layout from a swap. Unfortunately it isn't signed so I'm not positive who created it. I think I know - but I'm not 100%. If it was you, please let me know so I can give you credit.
These pics are from our first Christmas together as a family. Love the emotion!

CCC #17
Our blog group loves to challenge each other. We each take turns posting some sort of paper crafting challenge. This week it was my turn, here is what I came up with.
Here are the rules
1. Use the following sketch
2. Use only from your stash - no buying allowed!!
3. Use at least two different patterned papers.
Here is my take on it.....
I'm happy with my layout, and my son loved it even more!!!

Feeding Time at the Zoo
I love these pictures of meal times when we were camping.
My husband loves to cook........ can't you tell?!? He's such a goofball!!
There is never a shortage of food when we go camping and the all the boys... and one girl... love it when Dad/Uncle cooks!
One of my newest techniques is to use strips of paper to mat instead of using full sheets of paper.

Another Border Set
I've been trying to work on these slowly so that I don't get caught at the end having to rush through these.
Started with a base of a border set I already had... not sure who designed this one. I love the flowers.. I'm thinking it was actually stamped to make the patterned paper.. but not sure. If you are the original designer of this set... let me know!
I added the shiny lilac paper and ribbon to the borders. The flowers were originally loose so I added a base of white and the same shiny paper. I included several sheets of 6x8 paper so that photo mats and/or lettering for a title would match. I also added some square brads and a couple feet of matching ribbon.

Police Car Layout
Here is a layout I did from Canada Day 2008. The kids were able to get in the back seat of a police car. Picture here are my two boys, Brayden and Carsyn, and my nephew Riley. They all thought it was pretty cool, however, I quickly reminded them that "This had better be the only time they are EVER in the back of a Police Car!"
Pretty simple layout.. the background paper is from Karen foster. I used some scrap strips of kraft cardstock to faux mount the pictures and journal box. Typed up the journaling on the computer and added some police car brads and some red and blue bling.

Christmas Border Set
Here is a border set that I did up for someone who requested the theme of "First Christmas". I wanted to steer away from the traditional baby girl colours. This set is pink, burgundy and green.

Fun Project with my Niece
Over the holidays, my almost 15 year old niece and her 7 year old brother came to stay with us. I loved having them over and it was so great to connect again. Courtney holds a special place in my heart... she's actually my best friend's daughter, but I've been auntie to her since day one. When she was little, and we lived in the same town, she used to stay with me ALL the time. I'm sure I had her every other weekend. As a matter of fact, one of her first words was "Tequilla" - which was the name of my cat! We had a ton of fun and were always up to something... usually craft related.
Even though we live only 40 minutes away we don't see near enough of each other. I was overjoyed when she wanted to come stay with us for a few days. I thought I was going to have to stay away from my scrapping table - I didn't think she would want to do anything like that... one never knows about 15 year olds! We went to the dollar store one afternoon... and she found a little wooden plaque.. she picked it up and said "I could put a picture of Ashley and I on this." And the promptly put it back. I encouraged her to get it and told her I would help her alter it.
Later that night, she and I sat down, she found a picture on her Facebook and I printed it off. She picked out the paper and I helped cut and assemble. I think it is absolutely stunning. I absolutely love the picture of the two girls... it is a couple years old, but it really shows how much Ashley looks like her mom.. who passed away in October.
I can't wait for the next visit and we can create again!
My niece, Courtney, is the blonde. :)

Border Swap
Here is a border set that I did for a swap I'm in. It is a Pick Your Own Theme swap.. where you get to decide what you want scrapped and then the other people in the group scrap for you. It works really well because you then get stuff you know you will use.
The person requested a theme of "Brothers". The border set base is another set that I received in a swap - originally designed by Melanie. I added all of the light brown paper and brads, and the brown ribbon. I also received the words as a gift and added them to be the title and and accent piece.
I really am having a hard time sending this one away. I really love how this turned out... and my oldest son said "wow.. that's really nice mom" ... so I'm thinking that I just might have to make another and scrap this into his book.

Hudson Farm
This is one of my most favourite layouts that I've created. I don't know why, as it really isn't anything fancy, but maybe that is what I like about it.
One of our trips to our local pumpkin patch. These pics are from the hayride.
I did a few things with this layout that I don't normally do. I paper pieced the little tree in the corner. I also punched out some trees from some matching patterned paper and used those as embellishments. One of my favourite parts is the little sheep ... it was from a photo that I had cropped and would have thrown out.. but I just couldn't get rid of the little sheep... he's too cute!

Quick and Easy Layouts!
Here are two sets of borders I pulled from my stash. Simple and easy the two of these layouts took me less than 15 minutes to put together.
These pictures are from our trip to the big city in the summer of 2008.
We met up with "aunt" and my mom who happened to be visiting the city at the same time. Can you believe my mom and "aunt" aren't really related.. they've been friends since they were in their teens... but they get asked all the time if they are twins!
We introduced the boys to "Red Robin" restaurant, and and now they can't wait to go back!

Crafty Critter Challenge #15
Our little Blog Group had a challenge... I've been lax at participating, but I had the urge last night... so I got this one done... it was a tough one for me...
Here's the challenge...
1.Make a card using buttons. (I rarely use buttons!!)
2. It MUST be a little girl theme, meaning use all girl papers, buttons and colors. (I have two boys!!)
I'm really happy with how this turned out..
Here are the details......
I don't know where the image came from, I got it in a swap.. I thought it was adorable.
I used my Bic Mark-It pens to colour her. I Stickled over the green and the center of the petals on her head. I took one of my super cheap white daisy flowers and coloured it with the same marker that I coloured the image with.. it looks a little blotchy but that is just the photo - it looks awesome on the card. The sentiment (and ink) is from Stampin' Up.. I stamped it with Pink Passion.
The buttons were from my stash ... I love that they had the specks of fuchsia in them. It is hard to tell from the photo - but this card actually has five layers... the card is white, then the fuchsia patterned paper, then a layer of white, then the light pink polka dot patterned paper and the image was stamped on white card stock.
