Back again for another week over at the Critter Sketch Challenge Blog.

This week we were given yet another fantastic sketch by Colleen Spangler.

When I saw this sketch come in my mailbox I was super excited... so many possibilities....  I love that it is square.. makes it so easy to make a layout out of it.  This layout took me 15 minutes..  seriously!  So come on.. who doesn't have 15 minutes to whip something together!

I find that even when I make cards... which is so seldom.. they are usually square... I can see that I will probably use this sketch often in the future.. it is also a great way to use up some scraps!!

Here is what I came up with.. sorry about the crappy lighting... I need to learn to take my pictures in the day time!!

Here is my "Molly" sitting in my front window sill.  It is her favourite spot to sit/sleep/bark!

Supplies Used:
Patterned Paper - Echo Park - Woof!

Cardstock- Navy and Yellow Bling - Bazzill, Red - Coredinations.

Critter Sketch Challenge Blog - Challenge #123 - Colour Inspiration

Hi and welcome to another week over at the Critter Sketch this week we are headed back over to
Design-seeds.com (click the link to see the photo) for another fabulous colour inspiration photo.
Now I love these colours, but I'm Canadian, and we don't have blue in our patriotic colours, so I played around a little and came up with two different ideas for this week's challenge.

Since there was blue in the inspiration photo, I used blue as my background for this layout of my darling puppy, Molly - she was so little back then, and now, she's almost two and unfortunately lost most of her wonderful colourings and she's pretty much all white - she's still adorable and we just love the joy she brings to us.

And then....  I decided to do a patriotic layout.  I probably could have put this one on a blue background too, but I really wanted to showcase our Red and White. I did use the sketch (see below) from another layout, and I sewed on it!  I did four copies of the same layout...(my sister and I often scrapbook for each other if our kids have been at the same event - it is much easier to do four similar pages than to try and come up with all new ideas).
