Month LOTW

I had a great idea to host a LOTW swap of all the months.. for those of you who don't know, LOTW stands for Letter Of The Word... and for the swap, each person creates one letter and sends that letter to the hostess, who in turn organizes the letters into a complete word and sends the complete word back to each participant.

I thought it would be a great way to either scrapbook a page for each month or make a calendar as a Christmas gift.

Well this swap turned into a NIGHTMARE!! With so many spots, I had a few flakers (people who sign up and then don't complete the swaps)... I had to make a whole bunch of letters so that those who were participating got back complete words. Let's just say.. I don't want to do another one of these for a long time.

I do think they turned out very cool... and because I ended up with so many spots.. I think I will make a calendar and for 2010 I will scrap one page to highlight each month for both boys' albums.

Here are the pictures... I'll try to get them in month order, but no guarantees!!! So it looks like I'm going to have to put these in several posts or else it is going to be one very LONG post!!

September Already...

I can't believe the kids go back to school tomorrow! Woohoo!!

So here are a few things I've been working on over the last month or so since I last posted.. I'm not going to share everything... this way, maybe I'll be able to have a post every couple of days instead of a month later.

Here are some border sets for Kel's Pick-A-Theme swap on Splitcoast. I really like these because you say what you want and then the people in the group make sets specifically for you.

Here is a wrestling set...

Here is a Preschool/Kindergarten set...

I have a little confession... these next two are borders sets from a swap that I held way back. There is nothing wrong with them, but I just don't have a lot of need for pink. There were no names on them so I don't know who to credit - if it was you, please let me know and I'll give you credit. I added my own spin on them so that they were somewhat from me.

Here is a dance set... I added the white matting, ribbon and gems. This set was originally done by Jenny... check out her awesome blog. She does fabulous work and I always love it when we are in a swap together because as you can see here... she does fabulous work!

Here is a first birthday set.... This set was pretty much just the borders (no embellishments) and everything else was loose - so I added the white to the little frame, matted the velum quote - I thought the "curious" definition would be great for present opening pictures. I added the metal present embellys, ribbon and flowers.

I know I have a few more for this swap - but I can't seem to find the pictures... oh well... another day.
