Rockstar

I created this card for a Boy Swap.

I just love this stamp! I received the images in a gift, so I have no clue who made the stamp - anyone know?

Crabby!!

Here is another quick and easy layout that I completed by using a border set.

Not sure who created it, but it was so perfect for these pictures. If you created this, please let me know so I can give you credit!

This was literally a 10 minute layout.

It feels so good to be using up swap stuff!!

Changito Week... Day 7

While this is the last day of Changito week, it certainly won't be the last time you see this little guy on my blog. He's so cute and does/says such a wide variety of things, I'm sure everyone could find a use for him. No.. I'm not affiliated with the company that makes him, I just love him that much, I want everyone else to enjoy him as much as I do!!

I used the same stamp, and some of the same paper, but I tried to make these all a little different. I stayed away from the Stickle, but definitely used some "bling". I kept some of them simple so they could be used as cards for boys.

Changito Week... Day 6

Two for the price of one!

This picture doesn't really show the true colour of the card, it is a light pink.

I used a scrap of ribbon, and a scrap of glitter paper. I Stickled the flower, petals and grass.

This little monkey is just so versatile! He does everything!!

I really like how the yellow and purple make this card pop!

Changito Week... Day 5

Isn't this guy just absolutely adorable!

I hope I don't have to do a whole lot of shoveling snow! At least he looks like he's enjoying it!!

Of course I used Stickles, and one of my new favourite products, Smooch, to paint the shovel silver. This is another great product to try if you haven't, it looks like a bottle of nail polish, but it has a tiny little brush with a sharp point. I've even written with it like a pen.

Christmas Tree 2009

Here is our Christmas tree this year. We have an eclectic assortment of decorations. We have noticed that about 80 percent of the decorations are penguins, I'm a penguin lover, and everyone always gives me ornaments that have some sort of penguin on them. I've actually gotten rid of quite a few of them, but I've held onto my favourites. We also have a lot of Vancouver Canucks (our favourite NHL team) ornaments. The remaining ornaments are Super Heroes, WWE wrestlers, and other ornaments that represent our interests, hockey, soccer, police, ambulance, teacher, etc.

Our tree is an artificial, pre-lit tree. I'd love to have a real tree but the hubby is allergic. I do have to admit I love that we don't have to string the lights!

Changito Week... Day 4

Another Christmas card.......

I used lots of Stickles on this one.. skate, scarf, hat and present are all done in Stickles... are you sensing a trend? Yes... I LOVE Stickles... if you haven't tried these yet, you must.. they are so easy to use and really make a great addition to any card or scrapbook page!

Changito Week... Day 3

Here is day three's Changito card. It was super simple. I used a piece of glittered cardstock, from my scraps, took a Gerber daisy apart - this was a great deal... to buy one of these flowers at my LSS would cost me $1.00... but I found these at one of our dollar stores, and the whole bunch cost me $1.00. I got 14 flowers off of the stem. I love a bargain!!

I just Stickled the flowers and decided not to colour the monkey.

Easy, peasy!

Christmas Giveaway Day 1: Card Sketch Challenge

Over at My Scrapbooking Supplies they are having a give away every day this week. Here is my card for

Day 1's challenge. I love sketch challenges, even though my card never seems to look like the sketch!

Make sure you check out the website for some great ideas!!

Changito Week... Day 2

On this little guy, I Stickled his toque, mittens, boots and scarf. The patterned paper was from my scrap bucket, a trend you will find all week! I've really been working hard at using up my scraps!

Skunked!!

Here is a layout that I did of my oldest son and husband. My hubby had just taught Brayden how to play crib. This is the result of their first game in which Brayden did not have any help from dad. He managed to "skunk" him!

My hubby thinks I "overdid" the layout, but I think it is perfect!

Crafty Critter VSD Challenge #2

Here are my four pages for Challenge #2. These four pages took me all of 45 minutes to put together. WOOHOOO!!

I'm still working on pictures from our 2008 visit to the pumpkin patch.

I used border sets that I received in a swap to create this page. I love how easy border sets are to use, all I had to do was add the 12 x 12 paper. I also had some matching paper so I used that to mat the photos.

I love what Melanie (mnewby from Splitcoast) created for me!

Here is another border set, this one I can't remember who created it, so if it is your, please let me know and I will gladly give you credit for it. I know the ribbon was actually part of Melanie's kit, but I just loved it with this set so I "stole" it!

Crafty Critter VSD Challenge #1

Our Crafty Critter blog group had a VSD (Virtual Stamp Day) today!

Here is my card for Challenge #1. The Challenge was to make a monochromatic card.

Here is card #2, the challenge was to paper piece a stamp. I'm not overly happy with it, but it was the very first time I have done this.

Crafty Critter VSD Challenge #3 ....... Changito Week... Day 1

Our Crafty Critter Blog group had a VSD (Virtual Stamp Day) today, and this card is also one of our challenges. Jenny had us follow a sketch, it was tough for me because I used a larger stamp than they sketch showed, but I'm super happy with it, I hope you like it!

So I joined a Changito flood swap on Splitcoast and I've made quite a few cards with Changito on them, so I thought it would be fun to have a whole week of Changito cards.
